Confirmed Cases Occur Side by Side at Chung-Ang University Seoul and Anseong Campuses... University Church Members and Intern Staff
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] Chung-Ang University announced on the 25th that one member of the university church in the Student Union Building at the Seoul campus tested positive for COVID-19 on the 22nd.
According to Chung-Ang University, the confirmed case was found to have stayed for about 40 minutes at the church inside the Student Union Building around noon on the 19th.
Due to concerns about COVID-19 infection, the worship service was held online, but 10 related personnel, including the pastor, visited the church to conduct the service.
Other personnel who were at the church with the confirmed case all tested negative for COVID-19.
Based on the epidemiological investigation results, Chung-Ang University completed disinfection measures for the Student Union Building (Building 107) and Building 101 where the confirmed case had stayed, and decided to close them until today.
At the Anseong campus, one administrative intern staff member was tested for COVID-19 on the 21st and confirmed positive the next day. This confirmed case was classified as a close contact of a confirmed case in Yangyang-gun, Gangwon Province, after visiting Yangyang-gun on the 17th.
Chung-Ang University completed disinfection of the buildings included in the intern staff member’s movement path, and there were no additional confirmed cases among the contacts who worked together.

The school explained that, according to the guidelines of the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency, close contacts entered a two-week self-quarantine, and no students had contact with the confirmed cases.
