Main Cast of 'Cats' 40th Anniversary Korea Tour to Meet Fans First via Naver Streaming
The lead actors of the 40th anniversary Korean tour of the musical 'Cats' will appear on Naver NOW.'s "Night Workshop," hosted by musician Jeokjae, on the 28th, meeting Korean audiences for the first time.

[Asia Economy Reporter Byunghee Park] The lead actors of the 40th anniversary Korean tour of the musical Cats will perform live renditions of key songs from Cats, including "Memory," through Naver's streaming service at midnight on the 28th.
According to the production company S&Co, Joanna Ampil, who plays Grizabella, and Dan Partridge, who plays Rum Tum Tugger in the 40th anniversary Korean tour of Cats, will appear on Naver Now's "Night Workshop" at midnight on the 28th. Naver Now is a 24-hour live streaming service accessible via the Naver app.
Musical diva Joanna Ampil will perform the timeless classic "Memory" from Cats live. Dan Partridge will present a live performance of "Close Every Door" from Andrew Lloyd Webber's first work, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Both actors' live performances will be accompanied by musical director Peter McCarty of Cats.
In addition to the live performances, Ampil and Partridge will share their determination preparing for the special 40th anniversary stage of Cats, stories about the production, and rehearsal episodes taking place in Korea. The rebroadcast of "Night Workshop" featuring the Cats cast will be available again at 4 p.m. on the 28th via the Naver app.
Ampil is appearing as Grizabella for the fourth time, following the Cats European tour, world tour, and Asia tour. She is a globally renowned musical diva known for her roles in West End productions such as Miss Saigon (as Kim), Jesus Christ Superstar (as Maria), and Les Mis?rables (as Eponine and Fantine), and is a leading figure illuminating the 40th anniversary of Cats. Dan Partridge is participating in his second Cats production, following the European tour.

The 40th anniversary Korean tour of the musical Cats will open on September 9 at the Charlotte Theater. The production company stated that to ensure the safety of the audience, cast, and staff, the performances will be held under strict quarantine measures including regular disinfection of the venue, mandatory mask-wearing during entry and the performance, health questionnaires, and temperature monitoring upon entry.
