Namdong Power- National Assembly Climate Change Forum, Business Agreement to Support Climate Change Talent Development
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] Korea South-East Power and the National Assembly Climate Change Forum (co-representatives Han Jeong-ae and Yoo Ui-dong) signed a business agreement on the 24th to support scholarships for nurturing climate change talents and provide climate change education opportunities for young people.
Considering the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), this agreement was concluded through a non-face-to-face written business agreement without a separate signing ceremony.
According to the agreement, both organizations will collaboratively promote the 'Climate Change Academy' education program, which aims to cultivate correct awareness of climate change among university students and provide opportunities for them to grow into experts.
In particular, South-East Power will support the education program by providing scholarships for the Climate Change Academy and on-site tours of power generation facilities. By strengthening communication with university students linked to its 'Climate Environment Ombudsman,' the company plans to share efforts to reduce greenhouse gases and energy transition plans, actively reflecting the collected opinions in eco-friendly management company policies.
