LH Selected as the Best Institution in Job Creation at the 'Korea Empathy Management Awards'
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Jiwon] Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) announced on the 25th that it was selected as the Best Institution in the Job Creation Category at the '2020 Korea Empathy Management Awards' and received the Minister of Employment and Labor Award.
LH achieved an A grade in the government management evaluation for three consecutive years and received commendations as a job contribution institution for two consecutive years from the Presidential Committee on Jobs. Following these achievements, it also received the Minister's Award at this year's Empathy Management Awards.
LH became the first public institution to form the 'Good Jobs Creation Promotion Team,' led by the CEO as the head of the task force, and has been concentrating all its efforts on creating a comprehensive job plan to support customized job creation and entrepreneurial activities tailored to each life cycle stage.
Through these efforts, LH created a total of 10,100 jobs and 405 startup spaces, including hiring about 1,700 new employees last year, the largest scale ever, leading the expansion of public sector jobs and driving employment inducement for 154,000 people through large-scale public investment.
Despite the economic downturn caused by the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) this year, LH advanced the hiring of 600 youth interns.
Additionally, since 2010, LH has created approximately 18,000 jobs for the elderly through the 'LH Mujigae Care Workers,' who provide living services such as housing management and housekeeping after hiring seniors aged 60 and over.
