One More Internet Reporter Confirmed COVID-19 Positive in Daejeon... Temporary Closure of City Hall Under Review

As the second confirmed case among local reporters, the Daejeon city government is reportedly considering the temporary closure of the city hall building.
According to Daejeon city on the 25th, a man in his 40s, Mr. A (#230), residing in Dunsan-dong, Seo-gu, was confirmed positive for COVID-19 on the same day.
The city confirmed that Mr. A is a reporter for an internet newspaper who frequents Daejeon City Hall and is currently conducting an epidemiological investigation into close contacts and movement paths.
In the region, on the 24th, another internet newspaper reporter, Mr. B (#216), was also confirmed positive for COVID-19. The reporter confirmed the previous day is a woman in her 60s residing in Sejong, and it was found that symptoms such as coughing and sore throat appeared on the 16th.
However, epidemiological investigations revealed that Mr. B visited various institutions in Daejeon, Sejong, and Chungnam even after symptoms appeared.
Currently, heads of institutions, reporters, and members of the National Assembly classified as having had contact with Mr. B are undergoing diagnostic tests, and some have started a two-week self-quarantine after testing negative.
Sejong Mayor Lee Chun-hee himself posted on Facebook, sharing the news that “I tested negative yesterday and will self-quarantine until the 3rd of next month.”
Meanwhile, with two reporters confirmed positive, the respective institutions are also on high alert. Daejeon city closed and disinfected the press room the previous day and took measures to allow employees who had contact with Mr. B and reporters entering city hall to undergo COVID-19 diagnostic tests.
Sejong city also closed the city hall press room, briefing room, and cafeteria confirmed to have been visited by Mr. B.
