[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Bong-ju] The biological mother of the late Goo Hara expressed her opposition to the 'Goo Hara Act' and voiced her grievances. She also denied the allegations surrounding her, saying, "I did not leave home because of an affair."
Goo Hara's biological mother, Ms. A, appeared on TV Chosun's 'Exploratory Report Seven' aired on the 23rd and stated, "I do not agree with the Goo Hara Act."
Ms. A has faced criticism for appearing after 20 years of absence and receiving half of Goo Hara's inheritance.
Goo Hara's biological older brother is urging the enactment of the 'Goo Hara Act,' which would strip inheritance rights from family members who have abandoned their duty of support, saying, "A mother who has relinquished parental rights and custody has no right to inherit."
In the interview, Ms. A claimed, "Ho-in (Goo Hara's brother) does not know the past I have lived through," and added, "My son unilaterally claims that I abandoned my children, but that is not true."
Regarding allegations of infidelity, Ms. A said, "I did not leave home because of an affair," and added, "I have things to say and want to speak, but I am keeping silent."

She continued, "I should have taken the children with me back then, and that is my fault."
Ms. A, Goo Hara's biological mother, has been claiming inheritance through a lawyer since November 24 of last year, after Goo Hara passed away. Regarding this, Ms. A explained, "While I was crying at the hospital funeral home, my sister called and advised me, 'There is a lawyer I know; you should visit him.'"
Ms. B, Ms. A's sister and Goo Hara's aunt, recalled the situation, saying, "My younger sister called me crying hard. She said she was 'kicked out,' and I was very angry."
