[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] It has been confirmed that there are no additional COVID-19 cases at Coupang Ilsan 1 Camp, where a confirmed case linked to the Gwanghwamun rally had occurred.
On the 24th, Coupang announced that after the health authorities conducted an epidemiological investigation at Ilsan 1 Camp, no close contacts were found, and all seven individuals who were recommended for testing as a precaution tested negative. Accordingly, Ilsan 1 Camp will resume operations today in consultation with health authorities.
On the 22nd, Coupang confirmed that a visitor to Ilsan 1 Camp tested positive for COVID-19, subsequently closed the facility, and took necessary measures including additional disinfection throughout the camp. The confirmed visitor is presumed to have been in contact with an attendee of the August 15 Gwanghwamun rally. Previously, the Coupang Incheon 4 Logistics Center, where a confirmed case was reported on the 19th, was also found to have no infection cases within the logistics center, and it resumed operations after consultation with health authorities.
