[Asia Economy Reporter Won Dara] Six members of the Democratic Party of Korea from the Daejeon region have been placed under self-quarantine due to contact with a confirmed case of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
According to the Democratic Party's Daejeon City Chapter on the 24th, Representatives Hwang Unha, Lee Sangmin, Park Youngsoon, Cho Seunghae, Park Beomgye, and Jang Cheolmin were notified by health authorities to "remain in isolation at home or other locations."
This measure follows a confirmed COVID-19 case among attendees (a reporter) at the City Chapter's Executive Committee event held at Opera Wedding in Daejeon on the 18th.
A City Chapter official stated, "Party officials and attendees will block all external contacts going forward and will actively comply with future measures from health authorities."
