[Breaking] 20 More Cases in One Day... Cluster Outbreak at Incheon 'Galilee Presbyterian Church'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Suwan] Incheon City announced that on the 22nd, 20 people including pastors and congregants at 'Galilee Presbyterian Church' in Bupyeong-gu were collectively confirmed positive for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
Following the first confirmed case at this church the previous day, an additional 20 cases were identified on the same day, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 21.
Among the confirmed cases on this day, 19 reside in Incheon, and 1 resides in Gimpo, Gyeonggi Province. The Gimpo resident was identified as a public official affiliated with Bupyeong-gu, Incheon.
Health authorities reported that the church has 6 pastors and about 60 congregants, and considering the possibility of further confirmed cases, all of them have been placed under self-quarantine and are undergoing sequential specimen testing.
