On the 21st, the district announced that an additional screening clinic will be set up at Baram Madang in front of Seongbuk-gu Office (168 Bomun-ro, Seongbuk-gu, Seoul), and from the 22nd, COVID-19 medical treatment, consultation, and diagnostic testing will be provided to Seongbuk-gu residents.
The diagnostic targets for this additional screening clinic are ▲ Seongbuk-gu residents who attended worship services, small group meetings, retreats, campaigns, or any related gatherings, events, or work at Sarang Jeil Church in Jangwi-dong, Seongbuk-gu since the 7th of this month ▲ Seongbuk-gu residents who attended or simply visited the rallies around Gwanghwamun in Seoul on the 8th and 15th of this month, or passed through nearby rally locations (Gwanghwamun Square, Gyeongbokgung Station, Anguk Station, Dongwha Duty Free Shop, and the Gwanghwamun and Euljiro areas) ▲ and all other Seongbuk-gu residents who have been notified by health authorities to undergo testing.
The operating hours are daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., with a staff deployment including 12 medical personnel and 18 administrative staff.
Lee Seung-ro, Mayor of Seongbuk-gu, stated, “Due to the recent COVID-19 cluster infection centered around Sarang Jeil Church, the situation is very urgent, so we decided to expand the operation of the screening clinics. All Seongbuk-gu residents who participated in Sarang Jeil Church events or work during the specified period, or who passed near the rally locations around Gwanghwamun, as well as those notified to undergo testing, are requested to visit the screening clinics for diagnosis regardless of symptoms and actively cooperate with compliance to quarantine rules.”
Seongbuk-gu plans to make every effort to immediately implement quarantine measures and promptly disclose related information by identifying confirmed cases and additional contacts through diagnostic testing, thereby blocking further infections in the community and alleviating citizens’ anxiety.
