66th COVID-19 Case Confirmed in Jeonbuk
20-Year-Old Male in Contact with Confirmed Case No. 59
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hong Jae-hee] A man in his 20s who came into contact with the 59th confirmed COVID-19 case in Jeonbuk has tested positive for the virus.
According to Jeonbuk health authorities on the 21st, office worker Mr. A, residing in Wansan-gu, Jeonju, tested positive at around 3:30 PM and was classified as the 66th confirmed case in the province.
It was confirmed that Mr. A came into contact with the 59th confirmed case in Jeonbuk at a bowling alley in Jeonju at around 11 PM on the 16th.
Afterwards, Mr. A went to work at 7 PM on the 18th, left work at 4 AM on the 19th, returned to work at 7 PM, and had contact with three customers.
On the following day, the 20th, Mr. A drank alcohol with five acquaintances at a bar from 4 AM to 6 AM and returned home at 6:05 AM.
On the same day, when symptoms such as chills and muscle pain appeared, he went to work at around 7 PM, visited a screening clinic at around 9 PM for specimen collection, and returned home at around 10 PM.
Mr. A was confirmed positive for COVID-19 at 3:30 PM on the 21st and is currently hospitalized and receiving treatment in an isolation ward at Gunsan Medical Center.

Health authorities have checked CCTV footage of his home and visited locations and conducted disinfection, and are identifying additional contacts through epidemiological investigations.
