Three New COVID-19 Cases Confirmed in Jeonju (Update)

[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] Three more confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) have been reported in Jeonju, Jeonbuk.
According to Jeonju city on the 21st, Pastor A, the 20th confirmed patient in Jeonju, showed symptoms of sore throat and cough on the 19th. Patient B, the 21st confirmed case, is also known to have developed the same symptoms as A starting from the 20th.
It has been identified that both individuals had contact with the 18th confirmed patient in Jeonju, who was previously diagnosed positive after experiencing a cough following a trip to Gangwon Province.
Public official C, the 22nd confirmed patient in Jeonju, developed a mild fever on the 20th, and an investigation is underway regarding contact with the 18th patient. C is known to have visited Seoul and the Pangyo area in Gyeonggi Province on the 15th and 16th.
The three individuals confirmed positive on this day were transferred to Gunsan Medical Center.
Meanwhile, as COVID-19 cases continue to surge in Jeonju, the city has decided to fully close public facilities and suspend all organized events to block the inflow and spread of the infection.
