Jugeumgong Reports Confirmed COVID-19 Case Among Written Exam Takers on 15th
Concerns Ahead of First Interview Scheduled for Next Month 1-3
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] A confirmed case of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) occurred at the written exam venue for new employee recruitment at the Korea Housing Finance Corporation.
On the 21st, a Korea Housing Finance Corporation official stated, "We received a notification from Yeongdeungpo-gu yesterday that one of the candidates who took the written exam on the 15th tested positive," adding, "The candidate took the written exam on the 15th in Test Room 21 at Yeouido Middle School in Yeongdeungpo, and was confirmed positive on the 19th."
He continued, "After receiving this information from Yeongdeungpo-gu, we sent a text message to the candidates in the test room asking them to report to the Yeongdeungpo Public Health Center or the corporation if they experience fever or respiratory symptoms."
With a confirmed case emerging during the new recruitment process, the Korea Housing Finance Corporation, which planned to hire 60 people and completed document submission on the 16th of last month and the written exam on the 15th of this month, is now facing difficulties ahead of the first interview scheduled for the 1st to 3rd of next month.

If the COVID-19 situation worsens, they are considering changing the schedule and switching to non-face-to-face interviews. A Korea Housing Finance Corporation official said, "We will decide the timing of the interviews considering the COVID-19 spread trend and government guidelines," adding, "We are also reviewing the introduction of video interviews in case face-to-face interviews become difficult."
