Damyang-gun Additional Recruitment of Participating Companies for the Jeonnam Youth Continuous Employment Incentive Support Project
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Choi Hyung-sik) announced on the 20th that it will additionally recruit participating companies for the Jeonnam Youth Continuous Employment Incentive Support Project until the 11th of next month.
The Jeonnam Youth Continuous Employment Incentive is a project promoted to encourage long-term employment of young people working in small and medium-sized enterprises and to reduce the wage gap with large corporations. Currently, 11 companies and 19 young workers in the region are receiving support.
Eligible participating companies are those located in Damyang with 5 to fewer than 300 employees insured under employment insurance, and eligible youth are those aged 18 to 39 residing in Jeonnam who are employed by small and medium-sized enterprises.
Companies wishing to participate in the project should prepare the application documents found in the announcement section on the Damyang-gun website and submit them in person or by mail to the Damyang-gun Department of Grassroots Economy by the 11th of next month.

A county official stated, “This project is promoted to guarantee stable wages for local youth and to resolve manpower shortages in small and medium-sized enterprises. Selected companies and youth can receive up to 20 million KRW over four years,” adding, “We expect active participation so that competitive small and medium-sized enterprises and youth can receive many benefits.”
