Yangsan City to Provide 50,000 Won Emergency Disaster Relief Fund to All Citizens for Chuseok

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Woo-kwon] Yangsan City, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 19th that it will urgently push forward the payment of the 2nd Yangsan-type emergency disaster relief fund in response to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
This policy to provide the 2nd disaster relief fund is the first among cities and counties in the province. Yangsan City plans to provide an emergency relief fund of 50,000 KRW per citizen next month and recently conveyed this plan to the city council.
The recipients include all citizens, including foreigners, totaling about 354,000 people. It is estimated that a total of 18.3 billion KRW will be required. This disaster relief fund will be provided as prepaid cards per household to be used only within the region. The required funds will be allocated in the 2nd supplementary budget, and once approved by the Yangsan City Council next month, the payment is aimed to be made before Chuseok on October 1st.
