KB Kookmin Bank Launches 'Daehan-i Salatda Account'..."President Moon Also Subscribed"
Donation of up to 300 million KRW for the livelihood stabilization and scholarship projects for independence patriots and their descendants
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] KB Kookmin Bank announced on the 19th that it has launched the ‘Daehan-i Salatda Account,’ which donates 3,000 KRW per passbook issuance to support up to 300 million KRW for the livelihood stabilization and scholarship projects for independence activists and their descendants in commemoration of the 75th anniversary of Liberation Day.
The ‘Daehan-i Salatda Account’ is part of KB Kookmin Bank’s independence movement commemorative project, the ‘Daehan-i Salatda Campaign,’ which has been ongoing since last year. The account image features the graffiti artist Ninbolt’s mural titled ‘Smiles of 11 Independence Heroes’ (Kwon Ki-ok, Kim Gu, Kim Jwa-jin, Nam Ja-hyun, Park Yeol, Ahn Jung-geun, Ahn Chang-ho, Yu Gwan-sun, Yoon Bong-gil, Hong Beom-do, Han Yong-un), painted on the 15m wide by 7m high exterior wall of ‘KB Cheongchun Maru’ in Hongdae.
All installment savings products of KB Kookmin Bank can be issued with this account, and donations are accumulated not only through new subscriptions but also through passbook reissuance.
The first and second subscribers of the ‘Daehan-i Salatda Account’ are President Moon Jae-in and First Lady Kim Jung-sook. On the 15th, President Moon and the First Lady visited the ‘Youth Exhibition of 11 Independence Heroes’ hosted by KB Kookmin Bank, viewed 22 artworks created by seven emerging artists and students from Jeonju Dong Elementary School, and became the first and second subscribers of the account.
