Miryang City Holds Communication Event '2020 Miryang Citizens Roundtable Discussion'
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Woo-kwon] Miryang City in Gyeongnam announced on the 19th that the Gyeongnam Miryang Regional Self-Sufficiency Center held the ‘2020 Miryang Citizens Roundtable Discussion’.
The event was hosted by the Regional Problem-Solving Platform Gyeongnam and the Miryang Social Innovators Network. Prior to the event, local issues were collected from citizens, and about 40 participants including citizens from various sectors and members of the Miryang Social Innovators Network gathered to engage in discussions.
The roundtable discussion, held in compliance with COVID-19 prevention guidelines, covered topics such as ▲the role of the Gyeongnam (Miryang) Village Community Support Center, ▲the Gammun-ri Terraced Paddy Youth Farming Pilot Project, ▲creating a safe and pleasant entrance environment at Sammun-dong Pine Forest Park, ▲the Geumgok Samgeori Revitalization Project, ▲a pilot project for democratic citizenship education through picture book humanities, and ▲the Miryang project encountered through dyeing. Opinions were shared and in-depth discussions were conducted on these topics.
The issues discussed at this roundtable will be submitted to the matching workshop hosted by Gyeongnam Province through the Regional Problem-Solving Platform Gyeongnam. If selected as final issues, they will be addressed through problem-solving consulting, technical support, and budget support.
