[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] “Feeling stuck in your daily routine? Heal yourself in nature!”
Guro-gu (District Mayor Lee Seong) will open the Cheonwangsan Family Camping Site on September 1st.
On the 19th, Guro-gu announced that it has prepared the Cheonwangsan Family Camping Site to provide residents with an opportunity to enjoy nature and heal within the city.
The Cheonwangsan Family Camping Site is located at Hang-dong 149-1 (Yeondong-ro 12-gil 149). It covers a total area of 27,550㎡ and features 30 decks, including 18 auto camping sites and 12 general camping sites. Convenience facilities such as parking lots, shower rooms, dishwashing areas, and restrooms, as well as electrical and communication facilities, are provided. To enhance the natural experience, 16,385 trees of 21 species, including pine and evergreen trees, have been planted.
The camping site is open from 2 PM to 11 AM the next day. The fee is 35,000 KRW per night, and visitors must bring their own tents and camping equipment. Cooking is allowed.
Those wishing to use the camping site next month can make reservations through the Interpark website starting at 10 AM on the 20th. From September, reservations for the following month will be accepted on the 10th of each month.
To operate a safe camping site amid COVID-19, Guro-gu has established quarantine guidelines. Available decks are spaced one site apart (maximum 16 sites used per day) to maintain distance between tents. An electronic entry log system is implemented, and temperature checks are conducted for all entrants. The camping site and auxiliary facilities are disinfected regularly.
Meanwhile, Guro-gu plans to add an artificial rock climbing wall, ecological park, book rest area, smart farm, and woodworking shop around the camping site. The goal is to create a complex cultural space where families can enjoy various experiences beyond just camping. Completion is scheduled for July next year.
