Korea Maritime University Selected for 'Facility Safety DB Construction Project'
40 Students in Civil Engineering and Architecture Departments Receive Over 160 Million Won in Support

View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Woo-kwon] Korea Maritime and Ocean University announced on the 18th that it has been selected for the 'Facility Safety DB Construction Project' conducted by the Korea Facilities Safety Corporation.
The Facility Safety DB Construction Project is a non-face-to-face digital job project in which departments related to civil engineering and architecture participate to build a database for the Facility Management System (FMS) over two months starting next month.
A total of 40 students from Korea Maritime and Ocean University (21 from the Department of Civil Engineering, 3 from the Department of Ocean Engineering, and 16 from the Department of Marine Spatial Architecture) will participate in this project, receiving a budget support of approximately 160 million KRW.

Kim Jun-young, Director of the Marine Future Talent Development Institute at Korea Maritime and Ocean University, said, "We are pleased to be selected for the Facility Safety DB Construction Project to build the big data platform for the Korea Facilities Safety Corporation," adding, "We expect that our students will gain valuable job experience in facility safety through this project, which will greatly help their employment prospects."
