Korea Railroad to Resume Taebaek Line Train Operations from the 20th
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL) announced on the 18th that it has completed restoration and safety inspections of the Taebaek Line section between Jecheon and Donghae, and will resume operations starting from the 20th.
On the day of resumption, the downbound train (Nuriro 1631) will depart from Cheongnyangni at 7:05 AM, pass through Jecheon (9:28 AM), and arrive at Donghae at 12:23 PM.
The upbound train (Nuriro 1632) will depart from Donghae at 5:30 AM, pass through Jecheon (8:21 AM), and arrive at Cheongnyangni at 10:25 AM on the same day.
KORAIL plans to ensure passenger train safety in advance by conducting a preliminary test run with freight trains running at reduced speed after 4 PM on the day before the passenger train operations resume (the 19th).

Meanwhile, KORAIL has resumed operations on all railway lines except the Chungbuk Line, which had been suspended due to recent heavy rains. Train operations on the Chungju-Jecheon section of the Chungbuk Line are expected to normalize after next month.
