On the 15th, Professor Seo posted on his SNS, "Today (the 15th), to mark the 75th anniversary of Liberation Day, I donated a large signboard to Utoro Village in Japan together with actress Song Hye-kyo."
He added, "The signboard measures 2 meters in width and 1.5 meters in height, and was produced in Korean, Japanese, and English. The special feature of this signboard is that it was created through continuous communication with the residents of Utoro Village over the past few months, incorporating the phrases and design they desired."
Regarding the reason for donating the signboard, he explained, "Visitors found it somewhat difficult to find the Utoro Village community center, 'Eruhwa,' after getting off at the subway station, so we decided to install it at the village entrance."
Professor Seo also stated, "Together with Song Hye-kyo, we have already donated 20,000 copies of guides made in Korean and Japanese to this Utoro Village."
He emphasized, "Due to the COVID-19 situation this year, the condition of Korean historical sites overseas is not very good. At times like this, we need to pay even more attention."
Furthermore, Professor Seo announced, "For the past nine years, on every national memorial day, Song Hye-kyo and I have consistently donated Korean language guides, Hangul signboards, and bas-relief artworks of independence activists to 23 independence movement sites worldwide."
