Iran Condemns Israel-UAE Peace Agreement as a "Foolish Strategic Form"
Middle East 'Axis of Resistance' Likely to Strengthen
Israel Peace Agreement, Third After Egypt and Jordan with UAE
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] The Iranian government has condemned the peace agreement between Israel and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
On the 14th, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement through state media, strongly denouncing "the normalization of diplomatic relations between the Zionist regime (Israel) and the UAE," criticizing it as "a foolish strategic act by both countries that will further strengthen the 'axis of resistance' in the Middle East."
It added, "This agreement is a stab in the back of Palestine and all Muslims," and asserted, "The UAE and governments that support this must take responsibility for all consequences arising from this illegal and dangerous act."
Furthermore, it stated, "The innocent blood shed in resistance to liberate the sacred land of Palestine over the past 70 years since the establishment of Israel will soon tighten the noose around the traitors' necks," emphasizing, "The Zionist regime is warned not to interfere in the Persian Gulf's equation."

Earlier, Israel and the UAE agreed, under U.S. mediation, to normalize diplomatic relations on the condition that Israel halt its annexation of the West Bank. Originally, like most other Arab Islamic countries, the UAE did not recognize Israel as a state in relation to the Palestinian conflict. Among Arab Islamic countries, the UAE is expected to become the third to normalize diplomatic relations with Israel, following Egypt and Jordan.
