Police Request Arrest Warrants for Two Paid Members of 'Baksa Bang'

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Special Investigation Unit on Digital Sex Crimes announced on the 14th that it has additionally requested arrest warrants for A (30) and B (26), paid members of the Telegram 'Baksa Bang' (Doctor's Room).
According to the police, A is accused of conspiring with 'Baksa' operator Jo Joo-bin (24, detained and indicted) and his accomplice Nam Kyung-eup (29, detained and indicted) to commit quasi-rape against female victims and illegally record the acts.
B is suspected of operating three Telegram chat rooms named 'School Uniform,' 'Acquaintance,' and 'Humiliation,' distributing and possessing 1,406 cases of sexual exploitation materials in these chat rooms. B did not produce the sexual exploitation materials directly but committed the crimes by redistributing videos spread in other chat rooms. Among these videos were 270 cases of child sexual exploitation materials produced and distributed in the 'Baksa Bang.'

The police have so far booked about 100 paid members of Baksa Bang and sent about 60 of them to the prosecution with indictments. The police plan to hand over the remaining 40 members to the prosecution as soon as additional investigations are completed.
