Ruling Party, Government, and Private Sector Launch Korean New Deal TF... 'Co-Chairman' System
First Meeting of Korea New Deal Law and Institutional Reform TF... "Establishment of Suggestion Submission Window on Economic Organizations' Websites"
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] The ruling party, government, and business sectors have decided to swiftly reform laws and systems through close cooperation to ensure the success of the Korean New Deal.
On the 13th, the Democratic Party of Korea, the government, and the business community held the first meeting of the Korean New Deal Law and System Reform Task Force (TF) at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Jung-gu, Seoul, and made this decision. The Law and System Reform TF is a collaborative private, party, and government organization established under the 'Korean New Deal Ruling Party and Government Promotion Headquarters' to support institutional reforms for the Korean New Deal.
It was formed to gather private sector demands for legal and institutional reforms and to facilitate discussions between the ruling party and government to promote rapid improvements such as the enactment and revision of laws and regulations.
The TF chairpersons will be jointly held by Yoon Kwan-seok, Senior Deputy Chairman of the Democratic Party Policy Committee, Kim Yong-beom, First Vice Minister of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and Woo Tae-hee, Vice Chairman of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Additionally, from the Democratic Party, Cho Seung-rae, Head of the Legislative Support Group, and Jeong Tae-ho, Head of the K-New Deal Planning Group, will participate, along with vice ministers from the Ministry of Science and ICT, Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, Ministry of Employment and Labor, Ministry of Environment, and Ministry of SMEs and Startups.
From the business sector, Kim Yong-geun, Vice Chairman of the Federation of Korean Industries, Seo Seung-won, Vice Chairman of the Korea Federation of SMEs, Kim Jin-hyung, Vice Chairman of the Korea Venture Business Association, Lee Seok-woo, CEO of Dunamu, Won Yoo-sik, Executive Director of Naver, Ha Tae-hyung, CEO of Miko, and Seo Jeong-pyo, Executive Director of Hanwha Solutions Q CELLS Division, joined as TF members.

The Law and System Reform TF plans to establish a submission portal for legal and institutional improvement proposals on the websites of economic organizations and actively discover reform tasks through regional roundtable meetings and other means.
