International Flights Resume After 5 Months Since COVID-19 Outbreak
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Je-hoon] Air Seoul is resuming international flights after more than five months since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
On the 13th, Air Seoul announced that it will launch a new route between Incheon and Yantai. The Incheon-Yantai route will operate once a week (Thursdays), departing Incheon International Airport at 12:30 PM and Yantai Airport at 2:00 PM local time.
The Incheon-Yantai route previously had high business demand and was operated by three domestic airlines, but all flights were suspended due to the spread of COVID-19. With Air Seoul's new service, the air connection between the two cities has been restored.

An Air Seoul official stated, "Yantai, a key point for Korea-China economic cooperation, is a route with promising business demand," adding, "Although we are starting with once a week, we plan to continuously increase flights while monitoring the COVID-19 situation."
