'Rapid Confirmed Cases' All Schools in Saha-gu, Busan to Conduct Remote Classes for Two Days... 47 Schools Affected
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Hyun-joo] All schools in Saha-gu, Busan, where the Bukyeong Health High School-affiliated middle school experienced a COVID-19 chain infection, will switch to remote classes for two days starting tomorrow.
On the 12th, the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education announced that, as a measure to prevent the spread of COVID-19, a total of 47 institutions in Saha-gu?including 26 kindergartens, 20 middle and high schools, and 1 special school?will switch to remote classes from the 13th to the 14th.
This transition to remote classes was decided by the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education in consultation with Busan City, infectious disease experts, and the Ministry of Education, following the recent spread of confirmed cases centered around the Bukyeong Health High School-affiliated middle school and Gamcheon Port area in Saha-gu.
The Metropolitan Office of Education stated that by switching to remote classes on the 13th and 14th and including the weekend and public holidays, interpersonal contact can be minimized for up to five days.

Among the six confirmed cases in the adult class at Bukyeong Health High School-affiliated middle school, four are residents of Saha-gu; additionally, one confirmed student case from Kyungsung Electronics High School and one from Busan Mechanical Technical High School also reside in Saha-gu.
