Uljin-gun Eases 'Emergency Welfare Support' Criteria... Intensive Beneficiary Identification Until End of August
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Uljin-gun, Gyeongbuk announced on the 12th that it will actively identify low-income crisis households struggling to make a living due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) until the end of August.
On the 11th, Uljin-gun held a meeting at the county office with 25 emergency welfare support officers from each eup and myeon to discuss ways to identify and promote emergency welfare support recipients.
The support targets include low-income groups suffering from sudden illness, power outages, and excessive debt, as well as self-employed, special-type workers, and freelancers with income below 75% of the median income who lost their income sources due to COVID-19.
Households selected as recipients can receive up to 3 million KRW for medical expenses and 454,900 KRW for living expenses for single-person households, depending on the reason for support. The support amount varies according to the number of household members, and medical expenses must be applied for before discharge.
