Meeting 'Sunbae Expo' Online... Introducing Life Mentors to People in Their 20s with 5G Technology
[Asia Economy Reporter Seulgina Cho] SK Telecom announced on the 12th that it will hold a communication-focused talk concert called 'Sunbae Expo,' where life seniors share life concerns with young adults in their 20s using 5G technology.
At this 'Sunbae Expo,' seven life seniors active in various fields, including interpreter and broadcaster Ahn Hyun-mo, author Baek Se-hee of 'I Want to Die but I Want to Eat Tteokbokki,' and singer-turned-drama producer Lee Jae-moon, will share the concerns of young adults in their 20s.
The event will be conducted by having one senior and ten young adults in their 20s use SK Telecom's ultra-high-definition group video call service 'MeetUs' to discuss various concerns faced by youth. Unlike traditional talk concerts where one speaker delivers a one-way message to many listeners, this format features delivering encouraging messages as if meeting in person. The 5G-based high-definition video call service 'MeetUs' allows up to 100 participants to join the video call.
Young adults in their 20s who wish to participate in the 'Sunbae Expo' can apply from the 12th to the 23rd on SK Telecom's official blog 'Insight (https://www.sktinsight.com/sunbaefair)'. To ensure sincere conversations, the participating seniors will read the applicants' stories and select participants.

SK Telecom prepared this event to support the present and future of young adults in their 20s, who find it difficult to share life concerns, by providing untact counseling using 5G technology from life seniors. Song Gwang-hyun, head of SK Telecom's PR2 Office, said, “We prepared the 'Sunbae Expo' to listen to the voices of young adults who continue fierce challenges and to offer empathy and support from the perspective of life seniors. SK Telecom will continue to support the present and future of young adult customers.”
