At the regular meeting, a special lecture was held under the theme of "Building an Educational Community through Cooperation with Local Governments," providing an opportunity to explore the proper future vision of the region shared by Wando-gun, the council, the Office of Education, and residents.
In addition, after heated discussions, the meeting addressed the partial amendment proposal of the Wando Education Participation Committee operation regulations, including ▲partial amendment proposal of the detailed rules for the operation of the Wando Education Participation Committee, and ▲adjustment proposal of the middle school district (limited joint school district).
In particular, with the passage of the adjustment proposal for the middle school district (limited joint school district), improvements were made to allow transfers from larger schools such as Wando Middle School and Wando Girls' Middle School to smaller schools according to parents' wishes.
Chairman Lee Ji-ho emphasized, "Taking this regular meeting and training as an opportunity, all committee members should activate the operation of subcommittees, serve as communication channels to convey various opinions from residents and the local community, and help the participation committee suggest the direction for Wando education to move forward."
Furthermore, various opinions from committee members were collected regarding matters such as "Support for COVID-19 diagnostic testing for students enrolled in nationally recruited high schools."
