Huons to Exclusively Supply 'Nizoral' for Dandruff and Seborrheic Dermatitis Treatment in Korea
[Asia Economy Reporter Cho Hyun-ui] Huons announced on the 11th that it will exclusively supply the medicinal shampoo 'Nizoral,' used for dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis, in South Korea.
According to Huons, the Asian distribution rights for Nizoral 2% solution have been transferred from Johnson & Johnson to Alliance. Accordingly, the domestic distribution rights have also changed from Johnson & Johnson Korea to Huons.
Strengthening its approach to the over-the-counter (OTC) market, Huons plans to begin full-scale sales of Nizoral to pharmacies starting this month.

Nizoral 2% solution is an OTC drug whose main ingredient, ketoconazole, quickly penetrates the lower layers of the skin and hair to suppress Malassezia yeast, the cause of dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis. It was first launched in South Korea in 1991 and has been sold continuously since then.
