Dong-Eui University to Provide Additional COVID-19 Scholarships
10% Special Scholarship Support for Actual Tuition Fees in the First Semester
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Dong-Eui University will provide additional special scholarships for COVID-19.
The university made this decision on the 10th after holding a meeting with the university headquarters, the student council, and the student communication committee.
The university headquarters and student self-governing bodies held several student communication committee meetings, and through the meeting on this day, they decided to provide a special scholarship amounting to 10% of the actual tuition fee burden for the first semester, including the 100,000 KRW special scholarship proactively paid in June.
The recipients are students who received grades for the first semester this year, and the amount will be deducted from the second semester tuition bill. For students who are graduating or for whom deduction on the bill is difficult, the scholarship will be paid directly to their individual accounts.
Lee Cheol-gyun, Director of Student Welfare at Dong-Eui University, said, "The COVID-19 special scholarship requires a total budget of 3.2 billion KRW, and we plan to secure funds through a tight budget and development funds."
