Muan-gun Launches 1 Million Signature Campaign to Attract Mokpo National University Medical School

View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) announced on the 11th that it has been conducting a one million signature campaign since the 10th to attract the College of Medicine at Mokpo National University following the government's recent announcement of establishing new medical schools and expanding quotas.
In Muan-gun, signature books will be placed at the entrance of the government office along with national petition consent to encourage residents to participate in the signature campaign. This signature campaign involved nine cities and counties in the southwestern region, including Muan, Mokpo, and Haenam.
Prior to this, Governor Kim San issued a statement on the 31st of last month at the Southwestern Coastal Area Administrative Council urging the establishment of Mokpo National University College of Medicine and its affiliated hospital, and adopted a proposal to request the central government ministries. On the 5th, he also attended the launching ceremony of the Mokpo National University College of Medicine Attraction Promotion Committee.
