[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Kim Mi-kyung, the mayor of Eunpyeong District, conducted on-site inspections of disaster-prone areas to prevent damage caused by the continuous record-breaking heavy rain.
The flood control measures on-site inspection started at the children's park in Eungam 1-dong, and thoroughly checked the Jeungsan Bridge over Bulgwangcheon Stream, construction sites located in Susaek-dong, and the road boundary retaining walls in Bongsan and Haetbit Village. They also discussed the inspection of building foundations and restoration plans for damaged buildings.
In particular, for construction sites, the focus was on inspecting preparations to prevent damage caused by soil runoff during heavy rain.
An official from Eunpyeong District stated, "We will make every effort to prevent damage caused by the continuous record-breaking heavy rain."
