App Evaluation and Certification Specialist 'Web Baljeon Yeonguso' Announces Comprehensive App Evaluation Results
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] Among major domestic accommodation reservation applications (apps) such as Yanolja, Yanolja, and Daily Hotel, the app most used by consumers was identified as Yanolja. In the comprehensive evaluation that scored business content by category, Yanolja was ranked first.
On the 11th, 'Web Development Institute,' a specialized app evaluation and certification organization, announced the results of a comprehensive evaluation covering a total of 25 items for these three accommodation apps. According to the survey results, as of April, the number of accommodation app users was highest for Yanolja at 1.04 million. Yanolja had 800,000 users, and Daily Hotel had 320,000 users, respectively.
The comprehensive evaluation of accommodation apps was divided into five categories: customer attraction, business, content, design, and technicality, each scored out of 100 points. As a result, Yanolja ranked first with a total score of 89.3 points. Daily Hotel was second with 88 points, and Yanolja was third with 82 points. When the evaluation results were converted into grades, no company scored above 90 points for an A grade, and all three companies were rated B grade in the 80-point range.
By category, accommodation apps received high scores in the design category with an average of 90 points, but customer attraction, business, content, and technicality scored in the 80-point range, indicating average levels. In the customer attraction category, Yanolja took first place with 86.7 points. It was also first in the business category with 86.7 points. Daily Hotel ranked first in the content category with 96.7 points, and Yanolja ranked first in the design category with 96.7 points. In the technicality category, Yanolja ranked first with 93.3 points.

Moon Hyung-nam, professor at Sookmyung Women's University Graduate School of Business and director of the Web Development Institute, who oversaw this evaluation, pointed out, "Accommodation apps fell somewhat short of expectations except in the design category," adding, "Overall technicality is acceptable, but app accessibility is mostly insufficient and very inconvenient for people with disabilities, so improvement is urgently needed."
