Korea Toyota Donates 100 Million KRW for Flood Damage Recovery Fund
[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] Toyota Motor Korea announced on the 11th that it donated 100 million KRW through the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association to help residents in the affected areas who are facing great difficulties due to nationwide flooding.
The donated funds will be used for the restoration of flood-affected areas severely damaged by the recent heavy rains and to support flood victims.
Nobuyuki Takemura, President of Toyota Motor Korea, said, "As a corporate citizen, we decided to contribute funds to participate in overcoming the difficulties of the local community," and added, "We hope that the daily lives of residents affected by the floods will return to normal as soon as possible."
Meanwhile, Toyota Motor Korea donated 50 million KRW to the Korea Rural Leaders Central Association last November to support farms damaged by a typhoon, and earlier this year, it donated 100 million KRW to the Green Umbrella Children's Foundation to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
