KB Savings Bank Launches Kiwi Savings Account Exclusive to Liiv Mate App... Up to 6% Annual Interest Rate Benefit
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] KB Savings Bank has introduced a dedicated installment savings product available through Liiv Mate, the integrated membership platform of KB Financial Group.
On the 10th, KB Savings Bank announced the launch of the ‘Plus Kiwi (kiwi) Installment Savings’ offering up to 5% annual interest.
The basic interest rate for this product is 2% per year, and an additional preferential interest rate of 3 percentage points is applied when automatic transfers are made 10 times or more from a Kiwi deposit/withdrawal account or Kiwi deposit/withdrawal Liiv Mate account. The subscription period is 12 months, and when the maturity target amount is set from a minimum of 500,000 KRW to a maximum of 3,000,000 KRW, the monthly payment amount is automatically calculated.
If the subscriber agrees to receive marketing notifications from the Liiv Mate application (app) and logs into the app at least once a month for 5 months or more, additional points equivalent to 1% of the maturity interest are credited. Points can be used like cash. According to a representative from the savings bank, by taking advantage of both the preferential interest rate and benefits, customers can effectively earn up to 6% interest.
This product is only available for subscription through the Liiv Mate app and is limited to 10,000 accounts.
