Ulsan City, "From Next Year, No More Searching for Public Parking Lots"
318 Public Parking Lots to Implement 'Smart Parking Information System' by the End of This Year
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Starting next year, it seems that people in Ulsan will no longer have to wander around looking for empty spots in public parking lots.
On the 9th, Ulsan City announced that it will launch the ‘Smart Parking Information System Construction Project’ to provide parking information for public parking lots.
The Smart Parking Information System is a system that provides drivers with the location of the nearest parking lot and parking availability information through the Ulsan Traffic Information app and the internet.
There are a total of 318 public parking lots in Ulsan city: 45 in Jung-gu, 60 in Nam-gu, 86 in Dong-gu, 77 in Buk-gu, and 50 in Ulju-gun.
The city plans to first invest a total of 750 million won to build the Smart Parking Information System by the end of this year in 40 public parking lots, including those near the Taehwagang National Garden. The system will be gradually expanded to other parking lots as national funding is secured.
