[Concall] KT "Netflix and Season are complementary... Cooperation possible with any operator"
[Asia Economy Reporter Seulgina Jo] KT stated during the Q2 earnings conference call on the 7th afternoon that "Netflix and our OTT service Season have a complementary relationship" and "live broadcasts and VODs that Netflix cannot provide can be enjoyed on Season.”
CFO Yoon Kyung-geun responded to a question about the possibility of cooperation among native OTTs, so-called K-OTT, saying, "Season will continue to invest in original content targeting specific audiences such as idols and variety shows to strengthen its capabilities" and "we aim to be an open platform that can cooperate with any operator."

KT recorded consolidated sales of KRW 5.8765 trillion and operating profit of KRW 341.8 billion under Korean International Financial Reporting Standards (K-IFRS) in Q2. While sales decreased by 3.6% compared to the same period last year, operating profit increased by 18.6%.
