Domestic COVID-19 New Cases 20... Cumulative 14,519 (Update)
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] On the 7th, the number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in South Korea increased by 20.
According to the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters (CDSCH) for COVID-19, as of midnight on that day, 9 new locally transmitted cases and 11 imported cases were confirmed. The total number of confirmed cases rose to 14,519.
Among the locally transmitted cases, 6 were in Seoul and 3 in Gyeonggi Province. Of the 11 imported cases, 5 were detected during quarantine, and the remaining 6 were confirmed in the community. Five were Korean nationals and six were foreigners. The countries of origin for the imported cases were the United States (4), Iraq (3), Kazakhstan (1), Russia (1), Hong Kong (1), and Ethiopia (1).
