[Breaking] Three Boats Capsize at Chuncheon Uiam Dam... 7 Missing Including Police and Officials
[Asia Economy Reporter Heo Midam] At around 11:30 a.m. on the 6th, three vessels including a police boat, a rubber boat, and an administrative ship capsized after the police boat got caught on a wire installed to protect the dam at Uiam Dam in Seomyeon, Chuncheon-si, Gangwon Province.
Immediately after the accident, the vessels were swept downstream through the No. 6 sluice gate of Uiam Dam, which is 13 meters wide. There were four people on the police boat, including one police officer; one person on the rubber boat; and two people on the administrative ship. Among them, one worker on the police boat barely escaped.
