Korea Chemicals Safety Agency Shares 'Customized Information for Chemical Accident Preparedness'... Enhancing Accident Response Capabilities
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] The Chemical Safety Agency announced on the 6th that it will share 'customized information for chemical accident preparedness' with local governments and regional fire stations to enhance chemical accident response capabilities.
This customized information for chemical accident preparedness includes ▲basic information of facilities with hazard management plans ▲summary of emergency response fields ▲status of disaster prevention supplies ▲resident action guidelines, among others.
It is expected to help reduce the occurrence of chemical accidents and minimize damage to the surrounding environment and residents.
The information will be provided to 65 local governments and 84 fire stations where the target facilities are located.
The Chemical Safety Agency also created a guide to help each local government easily review the summary of emergency response fields.
The guide consists of understanding the summary of emergency response fields, review methods, major errors, best practices, frequently asked questions, and can also be viewed on the Safety Agency's website.
