[Asia Economy Reporter Han Seung-gon, Intern Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] Former Dongyang University professor Jin Joong-kwon criticized the backlash from pro-Moon Jae-in factions against Justice Party lawmaker Ryu Ho-jeong, who attended the National Assembly plenary session on the 5th wearing a pink dress, saying, "It's just a matter of an individual dressing according to their own taste, so it should be overlooked."
On the same day, Jin posted on his Facebook, stating, "The problem is not that she wore a dress, but the way people look at it," expressing this view.
In another post that day, Jin also criticized Democratic Party supporters. He sarcastically remarked, "'Did you come to deliver coffee?', 'Room salon madam bastard', 'Try playing the tambourine'?these expressions from Democratic Party supporters genuinely reflect their everyday lives," adding, "I guess they live like that normally."
He continued, "The fact that Democratic Party local government heads have been involved in a series of sexual harassment incidents could have happened within such a culture," and pointed out, "Similarly, Democratic Party supporters played a major role as secondary perpetrators during the Park Won-soon mayor case."
He further criticized, saying, "Sexual harassment and sexual misconduct have already become traditional culture within the Democratic Party," and scolded, "Look at the level of both the party and its supporters."
Earlier, on the online community board 'Ddanzi Ilbo' created by Kim Eo-jun, host of TBS's 'Kim Eo-jun's News Factory,' posts criticizing Ryu's dress appeared one after another on the 4th.
