LGU+ Opens Cloud Gaming Service GeForce NOW
[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Chae-eun] LG Uplus will open its cloud gaming service 'GeForce NOW,' which was previously available only to U+5G and U+ Internet customers, to subscribers of other telecom companies starting from the 24th.
GeForce NOW is a service that runs high-spec games such as League of Legends, Black Desert, Hyper Scape, and Destiny Guardians on regular PCs, Macs, 5G smartphones, and IPTV. Currently, over 300 games are supported in South Korea. As NVIDIA's exclusive domestic partner for GeForce NOW, LG Uplus has been providing the world's first 5G-based cloud gaming service since September last year, and is now expanding the subscription base on the service's first anniversary.
Until now, LG Uplus limited the service subscription to its own customers and offered GeForce NOW Basic (free) and GeForce NOW Premium plans. With this service opening, all customers can subscribe to GeForce NOW Premium (12,900 KRW/month). U+ customers will receive a 50% discount on the Premium plan. The Basic benefits provided to existing U+5G and U+ Internet customers remain unchanged.
