Hanul Nuclear Power Plant and Atom Lavender Farm Sign 'Preliminary Village Enterprise Support' Agreement
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongwook Park] Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. Hanul Nuclear Power Headquarters (Head Lee Jong-ho) signed a preliminary village enterprise support agreement with agricultural corporation Atom Lavender Farm Co., Ltd. at Joo-in 1-ri rural village on the 5th.
Previously, 'Atom Lavender Rural Village,' which won the grand prize in the establishment support category at the 2019 Hanul Headquarters 1-ri·1-color village community enterprise development competition, was selected as a preliminary village enterprise by Gyeongbuk Province in June. This agreement was promoted as a means for Hanul Headquarters to help establish a stable foundation for the preliminary village enterprise's independence.
'Atom Lavender Rural Village' has completed the establishment of the corporation as Atom Lavender Farm and is laying the groundwork to advance as a government-certified village enterprise. The agreement fund of 10 million KRW will be used to additionally cultivate lavender fields and develop high value-added products using lavender flowers.
Jang Ju-kyung, CEO of Atom Lavender Farm, said, "We dream of the day when the purple lavender waves that started in Joo-in 1-ri will cover Buk-myeon and become a representative tourist product of Uljin," and expressed gratitude for Hanul Headquarters' strong support, hoping for continued interest.
