Spending a Wise Summer Vacation by Making 3D Puzzles of Korea's Cultural Heritage
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Suncheon City (Mayor Heo Seok) has been conducting the ‘Creative Development, Dreaming Art Land’ program for 200 school-age children from Dream Start since the 4th.
‘Dreaming Art Land’ is one of the 40 Dream Start programs that receives high approval from children and parents, and this year, to prevent the spread of COVID-19, it is being conducted at each home instead of group education.
During the summer vacation, children create 3D puzzles of Korean cultural heritage such as the Turtle Ship and Cheomseongdae, enhancing observation skills, perseverance, and creativity, while also experiencing indirect cultural exploration.
The 3D puzzles, which allow making a total of 10 cultural heritages, were delivered to each home via courier instead of direct handover to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.

Jo Min-ja, Director of the Children and Youth Division, said, “This program was planned so that Dream Start children, exhausted from the prolonged COVID-19 situation, can develop creativity and experience indirect cultural exploration during the vacation,” and added, “We will continue to do our best for the healthy growth of Dream Start children.”
