Daewoo E&C Proves 'Dongtan Haengbokmaeul Prugio' as Best Private Rental Housing
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo In-ho] Daewoo E&C announced on the 5th that its first public-supported private rental housing project (formerly known as New Stay), ‘Dongtan Haengbokmaeul Prugio,’ received the highest grade of ‘Excellent’ in residential service certification from Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH).
The private rental housing residential service certification system is a program established by the government to evaluate and diagnose residential spaces, convenience facilities within complexes, life support, and community activity support based on set evaluation criteria. It was created to improve the qualitative level of residential services provided by private rental housing and to enhance resident satisfaction.
Daewoo E&C took the lead in creating a new residential culture by applying a village community program for the first time in Korea simultaneously with the move-in of Dongtan Haengbokmaeul Prugio in 2018, involving companies, residents, and local governments together.
By implementing six Let’s Programs such as ‘Let’s Study,’ where residents directly teach children, and ‘Let’s Care,’ a joint childcare activity, they provided over 30 types of village community activities and convenience services to improve customer satisfaction.
Going forward, Daewoo E&C plans to offer high-quality residential services at other public-supported private rental housing projects including Incheon Yeongjong A9 and A12 blocks, Suwon Godeung A2 block, and Paju Unjeong A3 block. The Life Premium service, consisting of about 10 types, will be implemented this year across a total of 20 complexes and approximately 18,000 households.

A Daewoo E&C official said, “We will continue to expand the ‘Life Premium’ service for Prugio residents this year as well,” adding, “We will continuously develop and provide services so that premium becomes a part of residents’ daily lives.”
