Gyeonggi Office of Education, Online Workshop for Foreign Language Subject Teachers
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education will hold an online workshop for foreign language subject teachers and others.
The Gyeonggi Office of Education announced that from the 5th, for two days, it will conduct an online workshop for about 400 foreign language subject teachers and supervisors from middle and high schools in the province to share cases of remote class operation by school level during the prolonged COVID-19 situation and to seek development plans.
This workshop will proceed in the order of ▲ online learning-centered classes for middle school foreign language subjects ▲ sharing cases of student communication-centered foreign language classes using online tools in high school ▲ and Q&A sessions.
Participants will freely discuss topics such as the use of tools for real-time interactive classes, designing interactive communication classes conducted online, and ways to link remote classes with in-person classes.
Kang Won-ha, Director of the Convergence Education Policy Division at the Gyeonggi Office of Education, said, "This workshop was prepared to support frontline teachers in preparation for the expanded operation of real-time interactive remote classes starting from the second semester," and emphasized, "The Office of Education will support foreign language education where teachers and students, and students with students, communicate interactively and grow together even in non-face-to-face situations."
