[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Go Dal-yeong] Muju County Governor Hwang In-hong and the Muju County Branch of the National Public Officials Labor Union held a meeting on the 3rd to exchange opinions on transparent and fair personnel management.
At the county governor's office that day, Governor Hwang In-hong, Baek Won-jun, head of the Muju County Branch of the National Public Officials Labor Union, and Secretary General Yoon Su-jin attended together, making it a meaningful first meeting since the launch of the 5th term.
Baek Won-jun, head of the Muju County Branch, stated, “Due to COVID-19 and frequent heavy rains during the recent monsoon season, holiday work has increased,” and requested, “Please consider implementing substitute holidays so that sufficient rest can be ensured.”
Regarding personnel matters that day, opinions were exchanged on establishing a transparent and fair personnel system to ensure fair and rational personnel management in the composition of the personnel committee.
Additionally, to prevent work gaps caused by public officials’ personnel dispatch, long-term training, and parental leave, and to minimize the psychological burden on the affected individuals, both the employer and the labor union agreed to work together for prompt vacancy replacement.
In particular, concerning personnel exchanges, they shared opinions that Muju County and the labor union will do their best to thoroughly implement the principles of personnel exchange in Muju County and actively support the transfer of currently serving public officials to central administrative agencies and Jeonbuk Province, thereby providing promotion opportunities for senior public officials and improving morale.
