A Man in His 30s Tied Up Inside a Car Escapes by Untying the Rope
[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Bong-ju] A man in his 50s who kidnapped his ex-girlfriend in Jinju, Gyeongnam, was found dead in a mountain in Wanju-gun, Jeonbuk.
According to the police on the 4th, A (51) was found dead in a mountain in Wansan-myeon, Wanju-gun, Jeonbuk, around 11 a.m.
Earlier, at around 10:05 p.m. on the 2nd, A kidnapped his ex-girlfriend B (38), who was going out, in front of an apartment in Hadae-dong, Jinju-si, Gyeongnam, by car.
On the way to his home in Jeonju-si, Jeonbuk, A stopped the car on a forest road in a mountain in Wansan-myeon, Wanju-gun, at around 4 a.m. on the 3rd, a day later.
He assaulted B inside the car, tied her up, set the vehicle on fire, and then fled.
Fortunately, B was able to loosen the loosely tied ropes, escape from the vehicle, and immediately report to the police.
The police, who were tracking A after receiving the report, found A dead in the mountain that day.
The police are investigating the circumstances of the incident with B.
