Sancheong 'Gyeonghogang Water Festival' Fully Canceled
Promotion of Relief Supplies Delivery for Central Region Heavy Rain Damage
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam Province announced on the 4th that the 'Gyeonghogang Water Festival,' scheduled to be held on the 8th and 9th, has been completely canceled.
The county decided to cancel the festival due to recent heavy rains centered in the central inland region causing casualties and property damage.
With the ongoing heavy rains expected to worsen the damage in the central region, the county is considering delivering relief supplies and participating in rescue activities.
A county official stated, "The rescheduling of the Gyeonghogang Water Festival has not yet been decided. We extend our deepest condolences and sympathy to the residents of the affected areas. Our county will also strive to help minimize damage and aid in recovery."
